The course will develop the energy efficiency and aesthetics of log constructing through an architect competition, and versatile studies. The long tradition in wood constructing education in Helsinki University of Technology has shown that the international designers have fresh and innovative ideas on wood constructing. The one-year special study programme transmits Finnish knowledge on wood to the world, and brings international views to domestic product development. Architect, Matti Kuittinen, who works as teacher in Helsinki University of Technology is of the opinion, that responding to the climate change is a global trend in design, and in this, innovative wood constructing holds a key position Several new export countries in Europe and Asia Vehasen Log Houses has experienced a strong development phase during last year.
