"My first contact with Vehanen was in the year 2000, when I was planning to build a summer cottage. One Sunday, I went to see Vehanen’s exhibition area. It’s easy to drop in there, because it’s right beside Route 1. I walked around and looked at the cottages in the area, when I met a man with a big black dog. He asked in a friendly way if he could be of any help and invited me to go inside the cottages to get a better look. The man I met was Hannu Vehanen,” Jukka tells about his very first encounter.
“I’ve received the same sort of good service afterwards from other Vehanen staff as well. Even if some familiar contact person has been away, I've always found someone who's been able to answer my questions. Doing business with Vehanen has always been easy.”
The first cottage, built in 2000, is now rented.
In 2005, a small sauna cottage was erected.
Currently, on the same building site, a larger villa of about 100 square metres is under construction.
“In addition to good, friendly and capable service, I’ve always received high-quality goods that are accurate in measurement from Vehanen. Delivery times have also been carefully observed—something that’s really important in building. The logs are clearly marked and packed in the most logical way possible. Good instructions have also been included in the deliveries. The goods have arrived by Vehanen’s own transport and have been unloaded in a sensible way,” a satisfied Jukka sums up.
“Getting the log house up goes quickly. With just a few people, we got the newest one—a cottage of a hundred square metres—roofed in one week. The inside work has gone on more gradually, but given a brisker pace this sort of cottage can be readied in about 2 months,” Jukka reckons.
“I can very warmly recommend Vehanen’s Log Houses. Their expertise is first-class in every way. Sales, design, wood selection and machining as well as delivery—everything’s gone smoothly.”
